Pay it forward with Vietnamese Foodies this Ramadan

The 1,000 Meals Initiative will provide meals to labourers for ten days

Giving back is a huge part of Ramadan and home-grown favourite, Vietnamese Foodies will be paying it forward in a special way this year.

As part of the 1,000 Meals Initiative, Vietnamese Foodies restaurants around Dubai will distribute 100 meals daily to ten city labour camps.

The iftar meal will include a starter, a main course, a bag of fruit and a drink.

Running from Wednesday March 13 to Friday March 22, the initiative is aimed at supporting hard-working labourers who are dedicated to maintaining the services available in Dubai.

‘We are delighted to prepare and distribute 100 meals a day, over ten days during Ramadan,’ says Lily Hoa Nguyen, Co-Founder and Executive Chef of Vietnamese Foodies.

“Our team is ready to ensure this is a successful project that will benefit the local community and allow us to give back to those who need it. Ramadan is a very special time of year here in the UAE and across the world, and we are looking forward to entering into the spirit of the occasion.”

Since opening its doors in January 2018, Vietnamese Foodies has been dedicated to uplifting the community. With seven locations around the city, this family-run business serves up dishes inspired by Saigon City.

When dining here, you can enjoy wallet-friendly, healthy, flavourful dishes that are authentic to Vietnam.

Look forward to trying favourites like pho that has been simmered for 14 hours, banh mi and goi cuon (rice paper rolls) and much more.
